Check this out. I was at Starbucks the other day doing some blogging and trying to get inspiration. And I decided to try out their fancy schmancy coffee.
They make it with a machine called The Clover Brewing System. What’s interesting about this machine is that originally a company named Coffee Equipment Company made the Clover machine.
The CEO of Starbucks at the time decided that this was the best cup of brewed coffee he had ever had and shortly thereafter Starbucks acquired the Seattle based company.
If you hear me asking the barista who makes the Clover machine, even he didn’t know! But anyway, here’s the machine. And you may be wondering why on Earth am I posting about this on the Papidaddy blog.
This is a perfect example of adding more products to your line up. First people scoffed at buying a cup of coffee for such high prices as Starbucks was charging.
And now they go on to charge even more!
They’re a smart business because they have many different products that you can buy from them. From a cup of coffee to entire coffee systems for your house worth several hundred dollars.
It doesn’t matter if they already have a lot of options for people wanting to crave their jitter addiction, they went ahead and added an even more expensive coffee product to their line up. A cup of Clover brewed coffee.
As for the coffee itself? It was a really good cup of coffee that’s for sure. And no, I didn’t pay full price for it.
