We like Disneyland a lot. Well, let me rephrase that, Claire and Oliver love Disneyland and I only like it because they love it.
I don’t care for it, I don’t care for the crowds or the price tags. But when you are in Orange County and have kids, Disneyland is just a part of life.
The thing is that Disneyland can be crazy busy and hectic. Now add to that 2 small kids and things can escalate pretty quickly.
But I’m always up for a good challenge so I decided to go to Disneyland without Helen to see if I could handle the two kids. When I saw the line and the crowds going into Disneyland we decided to go to California Adventure instead.
If you’re not familiar with the two parks, the entrances are directly across from one another, separated by about 200 yards so you can pick one or the other when you go. If you have a year pass, you can go to either one and I think that if you buy a ticket to one for the day, you get access to the other as well.
It was a challenge, but we survived and had a blast. I even had some opportunities to record some clips. I put those together now and here you can see our little Disneyland adventure.
We went on a couple rides and walked around, the ladybug ride you see is Francis’ Ladybug Boogie which is perfect for little kids. Just protect their heads if they’re little like Oliver because they’ll bang their head against the back rest.
The first ride we went on was Flik’s Flyers which is really cool because it goes up high and you can get a great view of the park, I just wish it lasted longer.
The last ride you see is the big ferris wheel in California Adventures, aptly named Mickey’s fun Wheel.
Hope you get a chance to visit Disneyland soon, and even better the sister park California Adventures. I like it more because it is less crowded.
