I have a few spots I visit on a regular basis. BCD Tofu House is one of them. I go there with my blogging friends and dot com lifestyle members.
BCD Tofu House serves Korean food, specifically Soon Tofu. That’s their specialty. Soon Tofu is a dish made up of mostly soft silken tofu, then they add spices, meat and vegetables and serve it to you scalding hot.
Literally it comes out boiling. Then you crack an egg in it and let it poach. You eat the soup with rice and a myriad of little side dishes that come with the meal.
We simply love this place. And I love them even more now. One of the reason we picked this place is because it is open 24 hours so if we need to have a last minute meeting or just a meal after an event, this place is always ready for us.
But more importantly than the convenience, we like that the tofu and most of the ingredients are organic. This has always been a plus when I bring Claire with me because I’m comfortable feeding her the food here.
I was really happy today when they brought Claire a special kids placemat, a pack of crayons and a special menu just for kids. That was awesome!
I must admit that the dish is a little bit big for a kid, but the price is right and the choices are great. You can order chicken or beef along with a non-spicy tofu soup, rice and dumplings. The meal is really a good size for an adult.
We got the chicken teriyaki and it was delicious, Claire ate a lot of the chicken and rice. She didn’t care for the tofu or the dumplings but all in all it was great to know that they offer this now.
