The other day I knew I would have a really busy day so I decided to group a few activities together.
I came up with what I called an “Urban Picnic.” I ended up making a Vlog out of it and so you have now in front of you Vlog #9 in the #Papidaddy vlog series.
This is just a short (5 min) video about our trip to Trader Joes and the Urban Picnic.
By the way, Halloween is almost here. I’m going to ask you about Claire’s costumes in a day or so. Hopefully you can chime in and let us know which costume you like best.
One of the things I wanted to highlight from our trip to Trader Joe’s is their $1.99 pumpkins. We got a couple so Claire can play with them and maybe carve one.
We tried it and she was mildly interested until she saw the final product then she was excited. You can see it in the video too.
Back to the whole efficient parenting thing…
See the way I grouped things that day to save time and be efficient was like this. Four things…
- Workout. I walked to Trader Joes pushing Claire and the Stroller. Coming back with a loaded stroller just ads to the workout.
- Feeding Claire. We bought food at Trader Joe’s and we ate outside. We brought placemats and the whole setup. Hence the “Urban Picnic”
- Groceries done. At least some of the grocieries were done on this trip too. I couldn’t buy everything we needed because I can only carry so much on the BOB stroller.
- Exploring, experiencing and learning about the world for Claire. This one is awesome because she learns and has fun and at the same time she gets exhausted so when I get home she naps for a few hours. #parentingwin
Hope that you enjoy the video. By the way if you are wondering what happened to Vlog #8, go visit the Income Report for September. That’s where you’ll find it.
